Day 60: Who they thought would be gone by now – BBNaija

News
24 September 2025
Jason Jae, Isabella, Koyin, Mide and Kola spilt tea in the Diary Room, sharing which eviction shocked them, and which housemate they thought would have left the house by now.
Week 9 day 2 diary sessions

As the race to the finale tightens, the Diary Room continues to be a space of reflection, surprise, and vulnerability for the housemates. This week, many of them opened up about who they thought would have left by now, and the answers revealed just how unpredictable the BBNaija journey has been.

Jason Jae’s Diary Session was an emotional one. He admitted the house feels empty without Kuture and Joanna, both of whom he expected to make it to the finale. “Parties won’t be the same without Joanna,” he confessed. He also shared that he thought Kaybobo would have left last Sunday, long before Kuture and Joanna. Surprisingly, Jason Jae expected Thelma Lawson to be standing strong in the finale. Reflecting on the evictions and his own survival, he admitted: “I don’t even know why I’m still here.”

For Isabella, the shock was Thelma Lawson's eviction. Despite their differences, she believed Thelma Lawson had what it took to reach the end. She also thought Mide would have left much earlier in the competition. Her Diary Session revealed another emotional layer: she feels hurt that  Sultana, her supposed friend, didn’t save her with the Tree of Trinkets. The doubt in their friendship lingers as she processes her own path in the game.

Koyin’s calm take on the game meant he wasn’t too shaken by last Sunday’s events. However, he confessed he thought Zita would have left much earlier in the season. For him, it was a reminder that the game is as much about resilience as it is about strategy.

Mide admitted she stopped making predictions after Doris left, but Biggie pressed her to share who she expected to be evicted. Reluctantly, she said she once thought Isabella and Jason Jae wouldn’t last this long. The unexpected evictions of Thelma Lawson, Bright Morgan, and Joanna reminded her of how quickly the game can shift.

Kola struggled with emotions in his Diary Session, especially when recalling Bright’s exit. Bright had been his “brother” in the house, and seeing him go was heartbreaking. He also confessed that Thelma and Joanna’s evictions shocked him, given how strong and vibrant they were. Interestingly, Kola shared that at the start of the season, he believed Zita would be the first to leave. Clearly, the dynamics of the house have challenged everyone’s early assumptions.

Now in week 9, with the finale in sight, one thing is clear: the housemates are constantly reminded that in Biggie's house, nothing is guaranteed.

All housemates are up for possible eviction this week, with the exception of Head of House Sultana, Most Influential Player Of The Week Mensan, and Kaybobo who purchased immunity for N10m via Red Telephone. All three housemates are now in the finale. You have until this Thursday at 22:00 WAT (23:00 CAT) to vote and ensure your favourite 10/10 housemate joins them in the finale too.
