The Lupark Butter task took over the BBNaija house as Head of House Tracy gathered everyone in the lounge to announce the day’s challenge. Housemates were split into four themed teams: ‘Chop Life’, ‘Premium’, ‘Soft Life’, and ‘Ajebutter’, by randomly picking coloured durags.
The evening began with an egg-and-puzzle relay. After some quick victories and heated bickering between Faith and Mensan over incorrect puzzles, scores were reshuffled, putting Premium and Soft Life in the lead.
Next came the relay cooking challenge. Teams had to recreate dishes from provided images, switching cooks at every ding. Tensions flared; Doris clapped in annoyance when interrupted, Victory loudly questioned Isabella’s cooking, and Sultana dumped food in the bin. Big Brother judged their teamwork, plating, and cleanliness, awarding Premium the round win.
The final stage was a live cooking show presentation. Each team showcased its dishes while Biggie scored them on creativity, brand mention, and involvement. In the end, Team Soft Life snatched victory with 82 points, edging past Premium.
But the celebration wasn’t unanimous. Doris stormed off, slamming the result with an expletive before breaking down in tears, convinced that speaking roles should have counted for more points. It was a bitter loss for the housemate, who’d flexed a possible victory for her crew prematurely just minutes earlier.
While some housemates basked in their win, others were left questioning strategy, fairness, and the weight of each task element. One thing is certain: the Lupark challenge didn’t just test culinary skills; it stirred the pot of house dynamics, and the aftertaste may linger well beyond the kitchen.
