The first episode of season 5 premiered on Friday 4 June 2020 at 19:30hrs. There are two major things that were dealt with in the first episode of Security Guard. 

Contract termination: 

We’ve all experienced the pain of either not having your contract renewed or losing your job, especially during the COVID 19 global pandemic. A lot of people lost their jobs and ways of working changed drastically. 

Tizadyanabo Security firm is in danger of being invaded by a rival security firm. Mr Yonbwe is not happy with their services and finds that they are terrible with their services and that is why he has opted to find another security firm. Aunty Doro mentions that she has also heard that there’s a lot of drama at Tizadyanabo Security. 

If the contract comes to an end a lot of people will be left unemployed. Will they lose the contract or will they not lose it? 

Polygamy: 

Polygamy is the practice of marrying multiple spouses and if you watch #ZMMpali, you know how challenging this can be, especially for the wives. There is usually a lot of tension between the wives and one or more feeling like they do not get adequate attention or time. We won’t even go into the financial side of things. 

Mrs Kachesha finds herself in a similar position where she is unhappy and feeling like she cannot deal with polygamy. She wants to leave and departs for Kasama. 

Will she be back or will she stay gone?
