Mercy and Emmanuel both attend the same church and their mothers knew each other, which made their friendship a non-issue, especially because he was already in college while she was in grade 7. The level of friendship between them grew stronger by the day and when she got to grade 12, it seemed Emmanuel wasn’t ready to lose the jewel he had found and made his intentions known to her.
Mercy was open to the idea of dating him, because she had also developed feelings for him, and the only obstacles they had to surmount was the fact that she was still in school, and their parents. By the time she was in her 2nd year in college, he informed her that they would be sending his family through for the lobola negotiations. His family was only allowed to visit after their second attempt and negotiations were allowed to go ahead.
As the families began preparations for the big day, the bride received some very good news from the MKP team, her Kitchen Party was going to be paid for by the production team, so her family wouldn’t need to spend a dime.
As the festivities kicked off on this season finale episode, we decided to tag along and save some of the highlights for you.
