Picking up from where the show left off, Shi Mumbi the wily conman was locked down after he impregnated Rosemary. Rosemary’s mother wasted no time and made a beeline from Kapiri to leave her pregnant daughter at Shi Mumbi’s home, demanding marriage as a means of ‘damage control’. A customary marriage of sorts resulted, but rather than the security she was hoping for, the arrangement kicked up all sorts of dust and chaos.
Chief among the problems was Shi Mumbi’s relationship with Belinda, which was just heating up!
Belinda had already made up her mind that Shi Mumbi was the man for her. No woman, job or landlord could stand in the way of her and her daaaarrling! And no tactic was too desperate or inconvenient for her to keep Shi Mumbi in her grasp.

Shi Mumbi’s problems and stresses are compounded by Rosemary's mother, who becomes a frequent visitor to his two roomed house. She makes persistent demands for the outstanding lobola payment as Shi Mumbi has not finished paying dowry for her daughter - piling the pressure on his double-dealing head.
