Housen Mushema is a man of many talents. While he has a thriving career as a model, Housen is also one of Uganda’s most loved actors. You might have seen him on a number of Pearl Magic shows including The Hostel, False Dreams and Mistakes Gals Do.

Although he’s now charming viewers on TV every single week, Housen’s big break in the world of entertainment started on the runway. “People started getting to know me from modelling,” he explained in a recent online interview.

Being on the runway got him exposed to the right people and that led to him scoring an acting gig on a big local TV show. He shared: “They were looking for good looking guys and I was among those that were called… They saw me, I tried out the script.”

Housen also added that he competed with three people for the role. It was through the show that he got exposure and experience, which resulted in many other TV roles. Although he’s making it big as an actor in the drama genre, Housen has a love for comedy. 

“I like comedy because it’s me” Housen said. The media personality loves making people laugh so much that he’s written a comedy show. We’ll definitely be looking out for his show and cannot wait to see it!
