Our Perfect Wedding Uganda has just launched on Pearl Magic and we’re excited to follow couples on their journey to the alter. The popular wedding show is hosted by one of Uganda’s finest media personalities. Laura Kahunde has a whopping 10 years of industry experience thus making her the perfect host for the show. Get to know Laura a little better by checking out a few interesting things about her below. 

She comes from a family of artists

Laura, who was born in Kampala is not the only talented person in her family. Her elder sister is a recording artist and actress, whilst her brother is a sound engineer and a DJ. The apple did not fall too far from the tree as her parents and grandparents also dabbled in the entertainment industry; her father was a drummer and her maternal grandmother used to compose melodies. 

Her big break 

The media personality broke into the TV industry after getting a supporting role in a movie entitled Hearts in Pieces in 2009. Since then she has appeared in several productions including Where We Belong, Dear Mum and Love Faces. Laura is  also an exceptional singer. She’s been a backup vocalist since 2006 and has worked with some of the country’s biggest names including Blu*3, Juliana Kanyomozi, Keko Town -amongst others. 

Upcoming projects

The award-winning actress will be appearing in the new season of The Honourablez and Half London which will equally air on Pearl Magic, whilst working on her music album and a charity programme.
