Jeje is an orphan with no family. He is shrewd, cunning and enterprising, but sometimes suffers night terrors where he relives his near-drowning trauma. Despite almost taking his life, the incident led him to two epiphanies; he doesn’t want to die poor and worthless – and there has to be more to life than just getting by. Jeje’s ultimate goal is to finally ‘arrive’ and join the upper echelon of society. He views ownership of a business such as Prestige as his holy grail. It’s not just about the money for ambitious Jeje.  He wants to be respected and accepted by these high-class people, mainly because he’s ashamed of his past and wants to start over on a clean and respectable slate.
