Here are five Pearl Magic characters that refused to stay in “peace mode” this year:
Catherine – Chapterz
When they say “never judge a book by its cover” they are talking about Catherine. Being the eldest daughter of the Musoke family – a well off family might we add – you may think Cathy has got it together and is focused on her studies. Nope, not a chance! Catherine is dating the husband of her family doctor and is currently busy planning their “happily ever after”. She has been threatening Bernard ever since she found out he was married. To make matters worse, Cathy organised for him to be kidnapped to show just how serious she is. Yikes!
Varina – Loving Tyra
Where do we even begin with this one? The things she does often leave us questioning our sanity. No amount of plotting against Varina can keep her down. Lock her up somewhere, and she will still manage to find a way out and continue plotting. Just recently, she tried to kill Mathias, her sister’s boyfriend. Now, she’s on an apology tour that is taking her to the doorstep of everyone she has wronged in the past, including Mathias. Question is, how long will she be able to stay “sorry” for – and what is she plotting with these apologies? 🤔
Kate – Between Us
While upset at her husband for cheating on her and getting his ex-girlfriend pregnant, Kate knew very well that she’d been up to no good too. It’s always tricky business trying to figure out if Kate’s intentions are pure, or if there’s an agenda lurking somewhere in the background as she continues to pull invisible strings. Tembo has learned this the hard way because now that Kate is pregnant with Tembo’s baby, he is accusing her of drugging him. She denies this of course, but looking at the circumstances, we can’t help but ask ourselves if the affair was pure passion or a plot to get back at her husband and his mistress; a mistress who conveniently happens to be Tembo’s wife? Whew. Can you say “DRAMA!”
William – What If
Oh, William! He never learns – or should we say he never stops? William’s weakness is pretty young women, and he can’t think straight when in the presence of one! 😩 Like you, we ask ourselves why he isn’t just calling it quits with his wife. We have established, however, that being the lawyer he is, William has calculated that a divorce will cost him half of everything he has worked for. So now, the plan is to stay in his marriage until he figures out a plan to get out while living life like a single man.
Yolum – Sesiria
“Keep your friends close and your enemies closer,” must have been coined with Yolum in mind. Yolum has been playing the family like a fiddle, pretending he knows nothing about Junior’s kidnapping when in actual fact, he is at the centre of it. Now that Junior is back, he’s still acting dodgy and having side phone calls with Dr Luninze discussing his shock at Junior’s reappearance. Talk about a stab in the back!
