Silence is golden.

If the driver almost gets involved in an accident, do not say anything! Yes, it's your life, but he and his conductor know best, so zip it. By doing so, you avoid not reaching your destination.

Do not take anything personally.

You are not the only passenger in his taxi, and you won't be the last. If he insults you, be ready to be dragged and laughed at by him, his conductor, and probably some passengers too. Chances are he’s having a bad day, and you were unfortunate enough to be the person on whom he takes out his frustrations. Don't read too much into it because chances are, when he sees you again, he will not remember that encounter.

Turn a blind eye.

When a taxi driver gets stopped by a traffic cop or any cop for that matter, it's none of your business. I repeat, it’s none of your business.

If you see the taxi driver and police speaking on the side, you must know you will be the only one who saw that. As far as they are concerned, they never spoke on the side, and you’ll only end up questioning your sanity.

Be loud enough when you need to get off.

Yes, there's a conductor in the taxi, but it doesn't mean he has to ask you again where you are getting off. That man is busy minding everyone's business in the taxi so, it's a lot for him. Bear that in mind!

Assist the conductor too!

Yes, you are paying for the ride, but you must assist the conductor with passing money back and forth.

With this rule, it is vital to remain as friendly as possible because being cheeky will not get you to your destination any faster.
