Gloves off has caused such a stir as it has been revealed to the public that the principal has been leaking matric exam papers. So their 100% pass rate has been a fluke. This makes the students a bit worried because they are wondering how it will affect their acceptance into university and what this means for them in the future. This leads to some students working together to reveal who Gloves off is.

Msizi says he is innocent but the detective presses him and says that such cases can go on for a long time and the financial implications this will have on his mum will be dire. Mam'Gumede returns to the police station but before she can finish telling the detective the good news of finding a better lawyer, he informs her that Msizi has confessed to the crime that he is accused of.
