Ayanda's mum takes the opportunity to go through her stuff and finds a letter where she takes the blame for Ayanda's disappearance. She then heads to the river to find Mam'Gumede to stop her from confessing but she miraculously sees her come out of the water with Ayanda. Much to her and Mam'Gumede's surprise, Ayanda is alive and well, thanks to the ancestors who brought her back.
