Samke Makhoba is an actress and filmmaker with a University of the Witswatersrand BAFT Hons who has bagged herself the amazing leading role on #1Magic’ s first ever medical drama, Wounds. We meet her as Neo who is running away from her complicated life as a prostitute which ends up taking her sister Busisiwe to her grave just as she was graduating to become a nurse. Yes we know, hectic!

Talented is one way to describe Makhoba, the tension in her voice and the expressions on her face had us gripped from the moment she got medications mixed up at the hospital, putting her patient’s life in danger which later made sense because she’s interning without a qualification.

You may have also seen her on Rented Family or MTV Shuga which was her first role in television, landing it whilst in her fourth year as a student at Wits, where she studied Film and Television.
