Puleng slaps Mpumi and begs Papi for help – Lingashoni

After discovering that NJ has a different father, Mpumi visits her mum in hopes of finding out who her father is. She leaves with an aching cheek and no answer as Puleng has written her off since she has refused to help her brother. Puleng later visits NJ in hospital, finds Papi there, and begs him again to consider donating his kidney to save NJ's life.

Mpumi bids her family farewell as she heads to New York. NJ is not convinced by Puleng's story that Papi has left. He is on a quest to find his father. Mandla arrives shortly after, and Puleng tells him he needs to marry Seipati to ensure they can get what belongs to them since Papi's death has thrown a spanner in the works.

Mpumi tells Donald she is leaving for New York and taking Alakhe with her. He does not react favourably, but she tells him that her mind is made up and that he can visit if he wants to. Meanwhile, Puleng is back to her old tricks, trying to win Mandla back since her gravy train with Papi has dried up.

There is no love lost between Sarah and Mpumi. Sarah tells Mpumi that she is selfish in taking Alakhe to New York with her. She even goes as far as trying to slap her. Mpumi tells Sarah that she is not afraid of her and that threatening her will not help as her decision is made. The Nondumo family try to find a way to keep Alakhe from leaving.

Papi is very suspicious of Puleng and is convinced that she is cheating on him with Mandla. He asks her point blank, and she instantly denies it. At first, he is not convinced, but in classic Puleng fashion, she convinces him that it is all in his head. She even goes as far as threatening that should he ever bring this topic up again, she will leave him. He then apologises and reminds her that he loves her. It is at this point that she starts to feel guilty.
