Mandla comes to Seipati's rescue, but instead of finding Seipati, he finds Gagashe. They get into a fistfight; Seipati is locked in a room with Mandlakhe, who is ready to feast. Seipati calls for help but is unsuccessful and takes matters into her own hands. She manages to throw something at Mandlakhe and successfully ends Mandlakhe, but because they are connected, Gagashe takes his last breath as well.

Nkanyamba tells Gagashe that Seipati's days are numbered and that he should make sure that her last day is a memorable one. Gagashe tries to find another way around what Nkanyamba says but is unsuccessful. Later Seipati wakes up from a nightmare and finds that Gagashe is not in the house. She looks for him in the cottage and finds him pleading with Mandlakhe.

Gagashe's dream of living with his sweetheart in Johannesburg is threatened because of Mandlakhe. He wants to meet with Seipati before the wedding, but Gagashe is against it. He is warned to heed the warning because should he not listen, it will not end well. Meanwhile, Seipati is starting to suspect that something is not right, but Mantoa puts it off as nerves before the wedding.

Gagashe attempts to get rid of Mandlakhe by setting a car on fire with him inside. His freedom is short-lived as he quickly realises that his bond with Mandlakhe is stronger than he thought. He felt like he was on fire and pulled Mandlakhe out of the car. Later on, he is seen tending to his wounds from the fire.
