Paulina can't catch a break. After getting arrested, Thuso refused to get her out no matter what anyone said to him and he is instead blaming her for being selfish and inconsiderate but after begging him for a while when she returned home thanks to Zodwa, he agrees to let her attend the funeral but must leave the house after.

Philani and his partner are still out to get Mabutho all because they can't let him disrupt all the dodgy business they have going on at Khanyisa Diamonds. After he put two and two together, Mabutho followed one of the miners trying to piece it all together and in a panic they both decide they'll have him close enough to end up killing him.

Mpumi bids her family farewell as she heads to New York. NJ is not convinced by Puleng's story that Papi has left. He is on a quest to find his father. Mandla arrives shortly after, and Puleng tells him he needs to marry Seipati to ensure they can get what belongs to them since Papi's death has thrown a spanner in the works.

Nomonde and Vero have been having the best time of their lives scamming their family with a lie of a pregnancy. Nomonde's doubt in what they are doing didn't last long because as she was telling Vero that she can't do the pretending anymore, she receives an email that Lindiwe not only bought her a house in Cape Town but she's given her the money to make it look how she wants it to and that throws the doubt out the window.
