Mantoa catches Mandla trying to sneak Puleng out of the house since they have been continuing with their affair. He tries to reason with her to keep his secret, but she is disappointed in him for playing with Seipati's heart. The reasons he gives her are thin, but she makes him promise to never cheat on Seipati again and then says she will not tell Seipati about the affair.

Still reeling from the aftermath of the failed launch of Danko, Papi informs Puleng that their problems continue. He tells her he does not have any money to pay the bills. Puleng tells him that, as a man, he needs to think of something because she is not going back to Brenda's house. He tells her that he has no plan.

Japan feels like to his mum he is nothing and that she values Puleng more than him because she has money. A distraught Brenda cries over her couches as Japan has set them alight and burned them. Japan asks what she thinks living without a father feels like. He later pulls a knife on her to get to the truth about his father. She eventually admits that Shakes wanted her to get rid of the pregnancy. Which is why she kept him from his father. Japan does not believe her and is hell-bent on finding the truth, no matter the cost.

Papi is very suspicious of Puleng and is convinced that she is cheating on him with Mandla. He asks her point blank, and she instantly denies it. At first, he is not convinced, but in classic Puleng fashion, she convinces him that it is all in his head. She even goes as far as threatening that should he ever bring this topic up again, she will leave him. He then apologises and reminds her that he loves her. It is at this point that she starts to feel guilty.
