We first met her as Simone on All American, who got together with Jordan and loved her and now we meet her again but as an independent college student who is experiencing a whole new chapter in her life on All American: Homecoming and we’ve fallen more in love with her.

Geffri Hightower is an undeniable talent and the show follows her as she goes off to college to open up a whole new world with new friends and possibly new love too. The spin-off just started recently but the love has already been amazing and promises to be just as big as All American.

Let’s take a moment to get to know Hightower a little bit better because we have a feeling that we are going to be seeing so much more of her on our screens and we are not complaining.

• Much like her character Simone, Hightower has a love for fashion and it all makes sense. The fire looks that we see her rocking on every episode aren’t just for show but a true representation of who she is in real life.

• Being on the screen isn’t the only thing that she loves because she has been on Broadway too. During an interview with Voyage LA, Hightower said “I used to tell my mom that I wanted to be inside of the tv! Who would have known that years later I’d be doing just that. I started my acting career at the age of 9 on broadway starring as “young nala” in Disney’s “The Lion King”. By the time I was a teenager, I transitioned from stage to tv and film and have been on the journey ever since!”

• While she is putting all her focus on her acting career at this point, Hightower has a very huge love for writing and directing too. Although at the moment she has no credits for either of these she does love it a lot and plans on pursuing it in the future.

• Being on All American isn’t the first time that Hightower has worked with Taye Diggs. What we don’t always realise is that the entertainment industry is not as big as it looks from the outside but rather quite a small world so paths tend to cross often and such is the case here because they were once cast members on Private Practice.

• It’s always a plus in this industry to have multiple skills and Hightower understands this because on top of being an amazing actress, she is also a dance and a singer. It doesn’t look like she has any interest in pursuing any of these as a career but it’s a good to have in your pocket.
