In the latest episode of American series Blue Print, Complex Chief Content Officer Noah Callahan-Bever sits down with famed artists Daniel Arsham. During his interview, Arsham touches on how his experimental art attracted the attention of brands and artists, including Adidas and Pharrell Williams, leading to some collaborations.
Arsham, who is well known for founding design firm Snarkitecture, became the first visual artist to sign with Adidas. He then went further and designed fine arts for the masses with creative installations that he’s showcased around the world.
Speaking to Complex, Arsham said that he uses his Instagram account to directly speak to the people, “to understand what they’re thinking about, to understand also their reaction and what their sort of read is on the work”.
Hear more from Daniel Arsham tonight when Blue Print airs at 19:30, exclusively to 1 Magic, DStv Channel 103.
