Robert is hell-bent on settling a score by shedding blood. He is now convinced of the path he must take, and it will not be through talking and reasoning but with bloodshed, as that is what gives him the edge he has been looking for. Seipati also has vengeance on her mind as she finds Mandla and Puleng in bed and rains bullets on them before hearing what they say.

Mantoa is in a fact finding mission. She is determined to find out what Seipati knows regarding Gagashe and his snake. She accuses Seipati of not shedding a tear for Gagashe’s death. This sends Seipati into a rage that earns Mantoa a beating. Seipati is afraid that Mantoa knows the truth and that could spell trouble.

Mantoa tells Mandla that the secret that she is carrying is very heavy and since it is heavy, she wants payment for having to carry such a heavy burden. He later tries to reason with her to agree to keep his secret, but she is not interested in anything he offers. He even goes as far as offering her a job, but she tells him that she is a lady of leisure and will not be working. She will, however, have her money, and she will get it from Mandla.

Mantoa catches Mandla trying to sneak Puleng out of the house since they have been continuing with their affair. He tries to reason with her to keep his secret, but she is disappointed in him for playing with Seipati's heart. The reasons he gives her are thin, but she makes him promise to never cheat on Seipati again and then says she will not tell Seipati about the affair.
