It's hard to imagine that any other actress would have been able to deliver the amazing portrayal of the role of Tasha the same way Naturi Naughton has. That could be because that's the only Tasha we know, but there's also no doubt that the American actress has displayed some superb acting chops for this demanding role.

What viewers of the crime series may be surprised to find out, however, is that Naturi had to audition no less than four times to be cast as Tasha! In fact Naturi, who's been lauded for how she's been able to bring this complex character to life, didn't think that she'd succeeded during her first attempt to land the role. 

"I initially thought I was not gonna get it because I was too young", she said in an interview that landed prior to the final season of the series. When Naturi auditioned, she was six years younger than the age of the Tasha character, which means that producers needed to gain confidence that she could portray not a woman who was much older than her, but one who was married to an onscreen husband who would be ten years older. 

"It was about four auditions. It was not an easy road people! Tasha St. Patrick was not easy to get, but it was worth it!"

The actress also gushed about the genuine fun she has with her castmates, who include 50 Cent and Omari Hardwick. On the final season of Power, Tasha must either kill her husband Ghost, or face the possibility of her son Tariq taking the fall for the family's drug trafficking.
