Robert goes with Poppy for their first sonar appointment to see the baby. He is immediately overjoyed at seeing the baby and hearing the heartbeat. So much so that he is brought to tears. This gives Poppy hope that she could be with Robert as he is showing affection towards her. Later on a disgruntled Sarah calls him asking why he is not home yet. He arrives in high spirits thanking her for being so accepting of Poppy and the baby. As he believes that their lives are changed forever because of the baby.

Robert is hell-bent on settling a score by shedding blood. He is now convinced of the path he must take, and it will not be through talking and reasoning but with bloodshed, as that is what gives him the edge he has been looking for. Seipati also has vengeance on her mind as she finds Mandla and Puleng in bed and rains bullets on them before hearing what they say.

Seipati reveals to Mandla that she is afraid that the past will repeat itself and that she will be humiliated again now that they are engaged. He manages to calm her fears for now. He later meets with Puleng and admits that she is right. He wants to get everything owed and asks her to help him get everything back.
