Mpumi tells Donald she is leaving for New York and taking Alakhe with her. He does not react favourably, but she tells him that her mind is made up and that he can visit if he wants to. Meanwhile, Puleng is back to her old tricks, trying to win Mandla back since her gravy train with Papi has dried up.

Puleng wants Mohau to answer for his actions. She is very upset with him as she feels he has ruined Mpumi’s life. He is under the impression that Alakhe is his son and has told the Nondumo’s this. Mandla wants to get to the bottom of this and is shocked as Puleng continues to shout at Mohau for his actions.

Sarah's lies continue but this time to protect Donald and Robert, since Mpumi's fall is due to their fight. Donald remains on his high horse, wanting to tell the truth, but when faced with telling the truth he is not sure what that truth really is. The baby's life hangs in the balance as the doctor orders an immediate c-section to save it.

Robert decides to not go through with the demand from Mdu. As he does that, Mdu attempts to get rid of Alakhe, but the police intersect in time and arrest him. Detective Khalipha calls Sarah telling her to tell Robert to abort the mission as they have found Mdu and Alake, and Alakhe is safe. They are too late as just as he is about to answer the call, Donald arrives to help his father finish the mission to save his son.
