Robert decides to not go through with the demand from Mdu. As he does that, Mdu attempts to get rid of Alakhe, but the police intersect in time and arrest him. Detective Khalipha calls Sarah telling her to tell Robert to abort the mission as they have found Mdu and Alake, and Alakhe is safe. They are too late as just as he is about to answer the call, Donald arrives to help his father finish the mission to save his son.

Sarah is left to answer for Donald's actions. Robert calls the detective to get her to talk as he is convinced that she is harbouring his secrets. Sarah keeps reminding them that he is not a criminal. Robert wants him found and sends the police to find him but they return empty handed as he purposely left his phone in the hotel room.

A distraught Dennis pays Robert a visit after he is exposed. He keeps asking Robert why he threw him under the bus instead of protecting him. Robert reminds him that as the minister of police, he has to do his job, and someone has to pay; it just so happens that it is Dennis' time to pay.

Gagashe receives the bad news that he has lost the tender for which he paid ten million rands. He also finds out that the money he paid to ensure he gets the tender is non-refundable. Dennis slips up and tells him that Mandla Cele is the whistleblower who took his tender away.
