Mandla tells Seipati that he has divorced Puleng. He then declares his undying love to Seipati. Seipati is not impressed with this and reminds him of what he did when they were together and how badly he treated her. Later she struggles to sleep as her whole body is itchy and she prays for healing.

uleng almost got away with fooling Papi about her affair with Mandla. He puts two and two together, and she cannot escape this predicament when he finds a watch that belongs to Mnadla on the side table. Papi then calls Mandla, who comes out of hiding and doesn't seem remorseful. Papi is very angry but still seeks an explanation that Puleng cannot give.

Gagashe's wives agree to play dumb to unearth the truth. They are convinced that Seipati has a hand in Gagashe's death. They go as far as apologising to her in hopes of getting on her good side. They leave with Seipati promising to take care of them and their children. Mandla comes to the house as they leave and learns that Gagashe left Seipati with everything that he owned.

Mantoa tells Mandla that the secret that she is carrying is very heavy and since it is heavy, she wants payment for having to carry such a heavy burden. He later tries to reason with her to agree to keep his secret, but she is not interested in anything he offers. He even goes as far as offering her a job, but she tells him that she is a lady of leisure and will not be working. She will, however, have her money, and she will get it from Mandla.
