NJ pays Tebatso a visit wanting to know why he would kill his ‘friend’ Phakade. Tebatso tells him they were not friends and that it was in self-defence. NJ is unwilling to listen and does not believe Tebatso. He is saddened as he still loves Phakade and is now gone forever. Meanwhile, his father escapes from prison with the intent of avenging Phakade.

Phakade is again trying his luck with Poppy, but this time he comes with receipts. He also discloses that he knows about her entanglement with Robert Nondumo. This revelation makes Poppy very uncomfortable as she knows her secrets are no longer safe. At any moment, her happy bubble with Tebatso can be popped by Phakade, and she does not like that at all.

Phakade continues to wine and dine Brenda to win Poppy's heart. Poppy has had enough and lets him know that she is not interested. Tebatso exposes Phakade's past with Nj, and Brenda is speechless at the information.

Seipati visits Puleng in hospital to finish off what she started, and Phakade begs Tebatso to set him free.
