Mantoa tells Mandla that the secret that she is carrying is very heavy and since it is heavy, she wants payment for having to carry such a heavy burden. He later tries to reason with her to agree to keep his secret, but she is not interested in anything he offers. Papi has turned over a new leaf, forgiven Puleng for her secrets, and wants to be with her. Puleng ends up giving in to Papi's advances, and they share a moment of passion. She immediately regrets this and tells him that it was a mistake. Meanwhile, Mantoa meets Mandlakhe and is shocked by his presence.

Gagashe's dream of living with his sweetheart in Johannesburg is threatened because of Mandlakhe. He wants to meet with Seipati before the wedding, but Gagashe is against it. He is warned to heed the warning because should he not listen, it will not end well. Meanwhile, Seipati is starting to suspect that something is not right, but Mantoa puts it off as nerves before the wedding.

Nkanyamba visits Seipati and informs her that Mandlakhe needs a new home. He warns her she cannot think she will go free after what happened with Gagashe. She tells him that she is not and will never be involved with witchcraft. He tells her that she is playing a very dangerous game and that her family members risk paying the ultimate price because of her refusal of Mandlakhe.
