Seipati reveals to Mandla that she is afraid that the past will repeat itself and that she will be humiliated again now that they are engaged. He manages to calm her fears for now. He later meets with Puleng and admits that she is right. He wants to get everything owed and asks her to help him get everything back.

Mantoa tells Mandla that the secret that she is carrying is very heavy and since it is heavy, she wants payment for having to carry such a heavy burden. He later tries to reason with her to agree to keep his secret, but she is not interested in anything he offers. He even goes as far as offering her a job, but she tells him that she is a lady of leisure and will not be working. She will, however, have her money, and she will get it from Mandla.

Mpumi tells Donald she is leaving for New York and taking Alakhe with her. He does not react favourably, but she tells him that her mind is made up and that he can visit if he wants to. Meanwhile, Puleng is back to her old tricks, trying to win Mandla back since her gravy train with Papi has dried up.

Mpumi gets the test results back which confirm that Alakhe is not Mohau's son. She confronts him with the news, and Mantoa is so happy, but Mohau is visibly disappointed. She later tells NJ that she loves Donald and Alakhe and intends to fight for her family. That is until she gets served with divorce papers.
