Papi asks Puleng to help deal with Gagashe, but Puleng tells him he is on his own. She is riding on the fact that Mandla is about to be awarded a hundred million tender. She then throws him a surprise party to celebrate being awarded the tender. Brenda uses this party as a farewell and burns whatever bridges she has with her neighbours. Mandla arrives back home in low spirits and is not in the mood for a party.
