If you’re an avid fan of How to Get Away With Murder, you’ll remember that during the season 4 finale, Laurel Castillo’s family was a mess; her father was behind bars and her mom was nowhere to be found. But during Monday’s season 5 finale, the unexpected happened; we saw the Castillo family.
Here are some important takeaways from the season 4 finale of HTGAWM:
3. Xavier Castillo
We learnt that Laurel’s brother, Xavier Castillo, reached out to Ronald Miller a few months back and promised that he could make Miller the actual district attorney and not just the interim person. However, Nate Sr. would need to be removed for good.
2. Xavier meets with Nate Sr.
Laurel comes across the footage of her brother meeting with Nate Sr. in prison and she’s certain that her family had a hand in all the unpleasant events from the time Wes died. Working together with Annalise, Laurel finds out that Xavier did indeed kill Nate Sr. And not only that, but he also killed Sandrine and is working with Governor Birkhead to destroy Annalise.
1. Emmett's fall
Governor Birkhead decides to go on live TV and pins Emmett Crawford as the person of interest in Nate Sr.’s and Ronald Miller’s death. That’s not all. Emmett falls to the floor and convulses after drinking what is believed to be a poisoned drink.
And that’s how the How to Get Away With Murder cookie crumbles.
