After spending the Summer holidays attempting to figure out their individual passions, Zoey Johnson, Nomi Segal, Ana Torres, Aaron Jackson, Chloe and Halle Bailey, Vivek Shah and Luka Sabbat, returned to campus in Wednesday night’s season 2 premiere of grown-ish, to find that the world is still against them.

The girls’ moved into a room that was less than appealing and Zoey was less than impressed with Luca, who himself was away in Paris. Not only did Luca make no attempt to call her, but she had to find out from none either than Aaron that Luca was back in town. When she eventually managed to find Luca, he was high on weed and couldn’t even commit to finishing a movie with her.

Zoey’s friends weren’t much help either. They assembled a visual presentation to showcase her and Luca’s differing body language. They even went as far as revealing that they have a “Zuca-911” group dedicated to Luca and Zoey’s unravelling.

Although by the end of the episode, their relationship issues weren’t completely solved, the fact that they dropped the L-word says speaks volumes.
