Boerewors Roll Recipe – Dinner At Somizi's

Somizi took pilchards to private school with his tinned fish infused boerewors roll.

Ingredients list

  • Boerewors
  • Hotdog rolls
  • Pilchards tinned fish
  • Beetroot
  • Sliced mushrooms
  • Chives
  • Tomatoes
  • Onions
  • Goats cheese
  • White cheddar
  • Jalapeno sauce
  • Barbecue spice
  • Barbecue paste

 

 

Step by Step guide

  • Heat up pan and add olive oil
  • Slice onions for gravy mix and out into pan, and allow to simmer
  • Slice boerewors into pieces and add onto grill and cook until well done
  • Slice tomatoes into slices and add into pan with onions and simmer until well done
  • Add barbecue sauce into onion and tomatoes mix with barbecue spice
  • Grill sliced mushrooms until nice and brown
  • Add beetroot and tinned fish together in a bowl, and mash together
  • Rub boerewors with barbecue paste and allow to simmer
  • Once everything is ready - cut rolls and place on wooden boards
  • Spread jalapeño sauce on roll
  • Add beetroot and pilchards mix
  • Add boerewors into roll and add mushrooms
  • Add tomato and onion gravy on top of boerewors
  • Sprinkle white cheddar for garnish and flavour
  • Slice chives into small pieces and sprinkle into roll for garnish
  • Take a bite and enjoy!!!

Step by Step guide

  • Lay out champagne glasses onto top of each other
  • Put on try and sprinkle flower petals on try for decor
  • Pour champagne from top glass and pour into timeless space
  • Add cherries and berries into champagne glasses
  • Cheers and enjoy!!
