Over the years, V-Entertainment has earned its rightful spot as leaders in shaping the evolving South African pop culture landscape. In line with the benchmark set by the show, this Friday comes with an exciting roundtable that marks a departure from the studio into an undisclosed location, where the leading South African female artists were assembled to take on various topics about the music business.
Airing this Friday at 19:00 on 1Magic, DStv channel 103, the roundtable features Lady Zamar, Babes Wodumo, Moozlie, Miss Pru, Busiswa and Rouge. With each of them representing a unique sound and subculture, the country's top female acts have the platform to openly discuss a variety of subjects with absolute authenticity.
What does it take to be at the forefront of the game, when the patriarchal substratum has continued to produce limitations for women in the industry? What realities define the scene behind, well, the scenes? What of the stereotypical assessment of female artists being too prone to feuding with each other - often with lack of evidence to bolster this myth?
Though, one has to wonder about the low ratio in female artist collaborations. Like, is that even a thing?
There are so many questions on the table, and the girls have all the freedom to express themselves without holding back!
Tune in on Friday and join the conversation on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram using #VEntertainment
