In just over three days, Kwesta’s music video for his latest single, Khethile Khethile, hit half a million views on YouTube. It’s been a week since its release, and it’s sitting close to one million views.
The video lets viewers into Kwesta (real name Senzo Mfundo Vilakazi) and his wife, Yolanda Vilakazi’s white wedding. The two who have been together for almost 10 years, also let people into raw emotions of their big day, which left many (including ourselves) in their feels.
Chatting to Moshe Ndiki at the launch of the music video, Kwesta described the project as an opportunity to showcase his growth as an artist as well as a chance to project his authenticity.
“I really wanted to touch whatever is authentically me that I’m feeling and am going through for real,” he said.

Khethile Khethile which directly translates to “chosen, chosen”, is a play on the concept of never going back. It means that Kwesta has chosen Yolanda to be his life partner for life.
