The road to finding love comes with many bumps, twists, and turns, and this couldn’t be any truer for The Bachelorette’s Becca Kufrin.
As from Sunday, Becca will take centre stage when The Bachelorette premieres on 1 Magic, where she’s trying to find the perfect man among a group of 28 men who are all vying for her heart.
But this is not Becca’s first time on the love journey. We were first introduced to the 28-year-old during the premiere of Arie Luyendyk’s season of The Bachelor, when during the final rose ceremony, Becca confidently told Arie to go down on one knee and asked him, “Are you ready to do the damn thing?”
Arie had two choices, and while he was uncertain of which woman to choose, he finally decided to propose to Becca.
As filming of The Bachelor drew to a close and the newly engaged couple headed back to the United States, Arie was still conflicted about his decision, and eventually decided to publicly call it quits.
A distraught Becca was left with no choice but to pick up the pieces. Opening up about her heartbreak Arie said to PEOPLE, “A breakup is hard enough, and to have it all filmed and have to re-watch it and know that people all across the country are watching you get your heart broken, it is embarrassing. It’s not fun. I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy. It was like a slap in the face.”
Becca has since moved on, and she’s ready to do “the damn thing” as the leading lady of The Bachelorette.
