Khulu visits Shaka during one of his wild parties and reminds him who he is and whose son he is. He also warns him that he will need to be a man sooner than expected, as his world is about to fall to pieces. Meanwhile, his mum celebrates her latest accomplishment only to be disturbed by her sister-in-law and the traditional healer who might expose her secret.

Mpumi and Khulu find themselves at a crossroad as they are falling for each other but this new romance can hurt a lot of people. Mpumi decides that it is best that she leaves and finds a new home but Khulu tries to convince her otherwise. They can barely keep their hands off each other but are interrupted by a disapproving onlooker.

Shaka finds his father in a barrel in a shed and is distraught, which confirms that his father is no more. This leads to the swift arrests of Mpumi, Kat, Nomzamo and Zozi. The detective has solved the case, and Gatsheni’s home lies in shambles, and all he has built lies in ruin.

The DA’s leader John Steenhuisen accuses the ministers of the ruling party of living lavishly and not relating to the poor people on the ground.
