Now playing Top 5 greatest TWEETS – Idols SA

27 October 2021
This is an unconventional playlist – a literal list of tweets that garnered numbers and made everyone that came across them feel good (as music would)!

Episode 16 had all the makings of a Showstopper episode! From the ever-so-talented guest judge; actor, singer, CEO of KEG, Khaya Dladla! To the incomparable feature of the Mzansi Gay Choir in the second segment of the show – ‘Impersionations’. To the absolute brilliance of the band, the stage set-up and chosen Top 5 finalists!

Emotions were high on Sunday making this one of the most intense ‘Top’ anything reveal shows! We got to meet Season 17’s Top 5 and enjoy two performances from each of them, but, we also had to sadly say goodbye to another talent, which is never easy but is after all the nature of the beast.

In the spirit of keeping the Top 5 theme, we’ve identified Top 5 tweets for each finalist, bonus tweets and some shoutouts for the Mzansi Gay Choir and Khaya Dladla. Press play!
(Please be advised that ratings are not based on the actual Top 5 finalists' but purely on the number of likes allocated to the spotlighted tweets)

The Mzansi Gay Choir really were the berry on top of the whole evening! Like any good feature, they added that thing that just made everything that much better!
