The couple met in 2012. Mzwandile was handling a court case for Vuyelwa’s father and he spotted her in the court room. During recess, Mzwandile made his move and managed to get her number.

At some point, they lost contact and he had to send her a message on Facebook. All this time, Vuyelwa wasn’t quite warming up to him. Mzwandile tried to get her to visit him in Bloemfontein, but she played him.
