A person could literally be at the mall for groceries, clothing or a gift etc. not knowing they’d walk out there with a whole man! 

That’s what happened to Zandile (40) they day she met the love of her life, Siphiwe Sikhakhane (47).

How they met:

This was back in 2004. “I noticed someone was following me and he ended up approaching me. All I can say is that I ended up warming up to him,” Zandile said, as she recalled how they met. They exchanged numbers and arranged a date at a nice restaurant in Johannesburg CBD. For Siphiwe, it was love at first sight. “I was with a friend, Adries, and when I saw her I told him that I have found myself a wife,” he said.   

Challenges:

He was employed as a soldier and Zandile was still studying at the time they met. “There were times we couldn’t see each other as often as we wanted, but we still kept in contact,” said Zandile.

In September 2006, a delegation was sent to Zandile’s family to begin the lobola negotiations. They were legally married five years later. “We had a small lunch to celebrate,” she said. “We have always wanted to have the wedding of our dreams, and that’s why we invited Our Perfect Wedding so those who couldn’t attend can also witness our wedding,” she said.
