From clashes with in-laws, Mam Zobe's scheming ways; to The Bala Family and their healing journey. Here are the moments that had us in a chokehold and trending at the top of the list.
Makoti Are You The One?
The journey sounded like a daunting experience but only having to be at their in-laws for 21 days made it sound like it was going to be bearable. What happened next though is not what any of the makotis expected or hoped for and that’s what caused it to #TrendaWayaWaya week in and out.The audience stays having a thing or two to say because the process of ukukotiza has been leaving many shook. Fifi got people going back and forth about whether she was amazing and stood up for herself or if she crossed the line at some point and started to be very rude and disrespectful to Aus’Maitiki.
Jabu and Sophie on the other hand are known to not like each other but their arguing at the end of the 21 days just to wrap it up nicely had the audience in tears of laughter. Lastly, Pinky has been jellying well with her mother-in-law which has been a fan favourite but only when she’s not obsessing over her weight, and while Wendy did great before the big trip to Mozambique, her relationship with Lorraine left a bad taste in everyone’s mouth and they stand on the fact that they should go their separate ways. Umkhokha: The Curse
It’s drama with a capital letter D! MaMzobe recently dropped a bombshell revealing that she had a son, Mlungisi with Kwazi Mthembu. Just as MaMzobe thought she’d use Mlungisi to get Ithempile LeNkosi, he pulled a fast one on her and disappeared with all the money that was in the vault. She was never ready for this kind of betrayal.
As if that’s not enough stress on MaMzobe, her betrayal has put strain on her marriage. Difa has thrown in the towel on their marriage. This level of betrayal was just too much for him. It’s not looking good for MaMzobe, as she stands to lose everything. See all the Zobe drama below:
The Bala Family
Mzansi's heart went out to Phelo who admitted that he needs help with his alcohol addiction. This was all discussed at the table after Zwai interogated him for missing a work opportunity because he was too drunk. Mzansi felt that his depression is something they could all relate to at some point of their lives. Mzansi is hopeful however that his new journey as a sangoma will give him a sense of purpose. Mzansi loved that the family came to support him, even though they all have different beliefs. Mama Veronica said ' All our children need is our support,"and Mzansi couldn't agree more.
