There is never a dull moment on eHostela. Just when you think there is peace in the brotherhood, a new twist is thrown your way and it threatens to fuel a war.

When Mndeni landed in Johannesburg to find the warm arms of his former brotherhood comrades waiting for him, it seemed he was finally in a new home and at peace. However, even after finding 2Litre and a new brotherhood, Mndeni was still in search of his family.

Little did he know, that the leader of this brotherhood, Celemba, is his long lost uncle. We all wondered why Celemba welcomed Mndeni with such open arms: He offered him the best room eHostela and protection within the brotherhood. Mndeni thought it too generous an offer and did not accept it thinking he would be accepting a debt he could never repay.

Little did he know that his blood had already paid the price. Celemba and Mndeni are family, the family he had been searching for. We were sitting on the edge of our seats when Mndeni lead the brotherhood into police headquarters to steal evidence. A nail-biting scene. Why would his uncle lead him into such a dangerous mission before telling him they were family? Maybe, Clemba has great faith and trust in Mndeni. He has already intorduced him to the family ancestors.

We would celebrate with Mndeni if he hadn’t already made a deal with the police to take down his uncle. Now that Mndeni has turned informant, it makes his relationship with his uncle difficult.

Things may have been easier if his uncle had abandoned him, but as Celemba explained, he was in jail for most of Mndeni’s life and when he was released he had to piece his life back together with little to offer Mndeni. So he thought it best for Mndeni  to grow up as Manciza’s son. But when Mndeni was waging a war against Jama, it was Celemba who sent his men to help his nephew.

So, without a need for revenge and a heart filled instead with gratitude and love, how will Mndeni bring his uncle down? Should he just confess to Celemba and see how they can resolve the matter?

How can it be resolved when a deadly war seems to be the only way this will end?
