Last week, we were ushered into the new year on a cloud of great house music by the deep house maestro Vinny Da Vinci himself and the legendary DJ Fresh. Since vinny's House never disappoints, things are set to be just as good this Saturday evening with Nastee Nev in the building.
Nastee Nev has travelled all over Mzansi sharing his passion for house music with fans. You know it’s about to get lit when Nastee gets on the 1s and 2s. And you can expect another fire set from house music legend Vinny Da Vinci.
Nastee Nev grew up in the township of Ga-Rankuwa in Pretoria where he was heavily influenced by the music his father listened to and showed a keen interest in music at an early age. He was then introduced to house music by a friend and shortly began his career as a house music DJ by playing at small parties and street bashes. He got his big break when he played at a popular club in his hometown and then got a residency at Gemini where he played alongside the greats like Vinny Da Vinci, Bob Mabena and Positive K to name a few.
Although Nastee Nev started his musical career at the tender of age he is influenced by old-soul jazz sounds like Nina Simone and Gladys Knight as well raggae influences from Bob Marley from the years he spent listening to his father's old records. He has worked with the likes of Donald Sheffy and Kafele Bandele and is considered a national and international house music name.
