Emotions and opinions were at an all-time high.
Idols 19 Top12 article

It all started with the judges stepping onto the dimly lit stage that was about to determine the future of all the hopefuls sitting on the other side. At this point, everyone knew that it was now or never.

What was standing between the contestants and getting to the live shows was a fire solo performance, making it undeniable that this is indeed a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be a big star in the music industry.

It’s a big fat yes!

And so it began. The process was quite simple: the contestants took the long walk to find out what their fate would be and while the judges got into the nitty gritty, we got to watch them perform.

From 29 performances, the judges had to trim it to 12 of the best and you were here for these success stories.

A sour taste

It’s been a rocky road so far, with many ups but an equal amount of downs. It has all led us to 12 amazing, aspiring stars that are gearing up to be household names.

Idols SA airs every Saturday at 18:00 on Mzansi Magic (DStv Channel 161), thereafter on Mzansi Wethu at 19:30.
