The playhouse blues explained — S’jola Sonke

This is how FOMO dealt with the singles in the villa.
S'jola Sonke

While many of the singles mingled freely with the couples for 13 weeks on S'jola Sonke, a number of singles found themselves patiently waiting for their turn at the playhouse. Unfortunately for Kefentse a.k.a B.K, Aviwe and Karim did not have their moment to stroll the corridors of the villa. Their stay at the playhouse was a function of being neither selections for eliminations, and neither invitations to the villa.

What is a playhouse?

Think of it as a smaller house outside of the massive mansion. It's lavish and spacious enough, but does not have everything that is in the main villa.

How it worked

A number of singles were invited to mingle and get to know three couples in the main villa. The point of the experience was bringing everyone together as they sought to find complete their search for partners.

For the couples, this would be one or more singles to join their relationship. For the singles, the point was joined a couple of two to expand the relationship.

What happened

Throughout the season, the couples were given the privilege to trim down on the number of singles available for dating in the villa. The singles (a standard of three per week), who were not picked by the couples, are sent home. And after every elimination, a number of singles 'in the middle' of the selection spectrum, would have to stay in the playhouse.

Sjola Sonke aired its first season on Mzansi Magic, DStv Channel 161, every Sunday at 21:00. Keep an eye out for more details on Mzansi Magic’s social media channels,Facebook,TwitterInstagram, and TikTok
