It seems like just yesterday, Phumelele was telling Thandeka how she still had hopes and dreams for her life at her age. She said she wanted to travel the world and meet new people. Fast forward and Phumelele is now running her own business, she has become a social media sensation and her list of accomplishments continues. We stan a focused queen!

However, getting here was not easy for the soon-to-be former Zungu wife. Phumelele has fought tooth and nail for her dignity, opinions, feelings, ambitions, independence and happiness.

Remember when Sengwayo accused her of having an affair with Advocate Fenyang Molefenyane? The Zungu family crucified Phumelele without crime nor evidence. She stood alone fighting for her husband to give her the benefit of the doubt or at the very least, an ear. Her own brother hung her out to dry in the end.

Phumelele set out with only the R45 000 her husband had given during happier times and had to rent a place of her own with everything in her life in her husband’s name. But you can’t keep a good woman down.

We love to see Phumelele tapping into her potential to sell containers and turn into a fruitful business. Then we were even more excited to see her meals trending on social media. Don’t forget how she did all this living in her own place, close to her children and looking stunning while she got it all.

Now it seems, she may have fallen in love before the ink is dry on her divorce papers. Can you blame her? For a long time Phumelele felt life had passed her by but now she sees it is only just beginning; this time she doesn’t want it to be too late.
