The Real Housewives of Cape Town hasn't stopped trending since its splashy Sunday premiere on Mzansi Magic.
That's because locals have been gushing about the quality of production, which allowed us a crisp glimpse inside the lives of Mother's City's real queens of reality. We got front-row seats inside their enviable closets, and saw all that drip of wealth spill over! The expensive designer bags, the many, many shoes, the diamonds, and yes, the beautiful gowns. We also met the cast, their families, and their beautiful homes.
And while the entire first episode was a serve of fabulousness, the ladies have already started delivering punchlines, spicy reads and one-liners that are shaping up to make this season a trap for gags! We are still thinking about these quotes:
"Blame the Ferrari" - Bev
Ballito native, Beverly Stein, reflected on the Cape Town upper echelon social scene. She feels that the women in Cape Town can be quite closed off, which makes navigating the social circles all the more challenging. It would also help if the people didn't think she could be snatching their men. If anything, they should blame it all on her expensive luxury whip.
"I was crowned The Queen of Constantia. Unfortunately, the Crown was made of plastic". - Camilla
Camilla's fabulous life doesn't need any enhancement, she's clearly Queening. It shows. The 'Queen of Constantia' title was explained with the theatrical flair that has made Camilla an instant fan favourite.
"I love drama as long as it doesn't involve me"- Thato
Thato ran as fast as she could to see the drama between Rooksie and Mrs Leo.
"She's late, but at least she came in a Rolls Royce" - Mrs Leo
After dropping spicy fashion critiques of everyone who came to her get-together, Mrs Leo forgave Camilla's "Marabastad Leggings" look, because she at least stepped out of a Rolls Royce.
