When else have we seen Somizi crawling?
Idols S19 reactions article

We are now well within season 19 of Idols SA and it shows. The second round of auditions landed this past weekend and to say it was entertaining would be an understatement.

The amazing soldiers who return

One thing about Idols SA, it is something anyone can come back to. When it doesn’t work out the first time, you try again and some hopefuls did just that. Millicent, Faith, and Zinhle delivered some smooth vocals that left the judges with no choice but to make sure that they make it to the next level.

Characters galore

An episode of auditions can never go without some unhinged characters of course, and these ones not only got some judges literally crawling (read Somizi) but made everyone’s night that much lighter.

When it all gets overwhelming, you simply do like Samkelisiwe, drink your water and proceed to win the judges over.

She opened the doors to some fun moments where people genuinely thought that it’s their time to shine. Zine said she won’t let this season pass her by so Andra Day’s  ‘Rise Up’ was her fighter but unfortunately, it fought back. Sasko and Nhlanhla followed suit but their vocals gave in so quickly that not even the theatrics could save them.

On to the next level

There are people that who audition and they leave the audience wondering where they’ve been hiding their talents.  Take Anqobile, for example. One judge wanted to bottle both her energy and voice while the other wished he could put her in his pocket. And it won many viewers’ hearts as well.

But wait there’s more, Thuliswa quit her job because she believes in her talent . Walking away with a Golden Ticket affirmed just that. Applying some more pressure was Siphoesihle who swiftly came in to scoop his Golden Ticket and it left everyone’s jaws on the floor.

Everyone that came through with the pipes deserved this crawl.
