You never know where you might meet the love of your life. It could be through a mutual friend, at work or at the club. Sonto (36) and Sthembiso (37) Majozi met in a taxi.

How they met:

The couple met in 2010. Sonto was returning home from work. As Sonto got in the taxi, Sthembiso called her and asked her to sit with him. “I didn’t pursue immediately. We just had a pleasant conversation,” he said.

Sonto elaborated saying they realized they had a lot in common from that conversation. “I realized that this could be the guy of my dreams, but unfortunately we were both seeing other people at that time,” she added.

They started taking the same taxi at each and every chance they could get, even though they were not dating. “We lost contact for about a year and then we met again in 2012,” said Sonto. They were both single that time around and they decided to give it a try.

Challenges:

Their biggest challenge was when Sthembiso was studying. They were expecting their twins and all the responsibilities rested on Sonto’s shoulders. “There was a time where we both doubted if we had made the right decision,” she said. Luckily, Sthembiso got a job after completing his studies.

They are huge fans of Our Perfect Wedding. Their wedding is a double celebration, as it’s also Sonto’s birthday month.
