These characters have captured our screen with their topical storylines! Joining some of our favourite shows, and even becoming part of our new ones. We love to talk about them and we even love to hate them. We show some love to some of our most talked about newbies!
Khetiwe and Mndeni - eHostela Mzansi
It was love at first sight, or should we say first musical collaboration for Khetiwe and Mndeni. The Maskhandi artists fell into a harmonious tune and KhetuMndeni was born! Their kind of love was truly effortless and it made for one romantic story. Sadly, it suffered many criticism and eventually ended due to betrayal and murder. Even if it's over for our faves, there's still no denying that KhetuMndeni got Mzansi in their feelings.
Thabiso - The Queen Mzansi
Thabiso showed up onto The Queen as an international soccer player with local roots, he was soon caught up in a complicated love triangle as well as a rape scandal. His character has shed light on serious issues such as Intimate Partner Violence, making his name trend on multiple occasions! He is the epitome of a wolf in sheep's clothing...a respected community hero who can do no wrong in the eyes of many!
Zoleka - Isithembiso Mzansi
Zoleka is a first year varsity student who has already started protests in order to manipulate her way into the campus radios station. Zoleka didn't think twice about throwing her brother under the bus in order to get a spot as the night drive DJ. She is feisty, smart, and she has plans to change the game!
Jama - eHostela Mzansi
Jama might be the scariest villain we have encountered in a while! The son of a professional hit man, he has been exposed to death at an early age. Guns don't scare him, they excite him. One could call him trigger happy and self-entitled Jama hit a new level of evil when he killed his dad for the throne and framed his brother for the crime. He would also eliminate his brother just as swiftly. He constantly has us in tears!
