Local has never been more dramatic than it is right now on DStv’s home of local Mzansi Magic. It’s all about the “what?”, “really?”, “psst, uzwile?” “hhaybo!” from all the drama that is currently on offer every day of the week.

DStv channel 161 has been sizzling up this winter viewing with a line-up of some of the best dramas and reality shows from SA’s production houses and talent. And to keep viewers glued to their screens for the rest of winter well into spring, the channel is launching the S’thanda iDrama campaign aimed at reminding viewers about its amazing content on offer.

Mzansi Magic viewers are very passionate about their viewing and for that reason, the channel has ensured that its content slate talks to that and offers the best line-up for every day of the week and for their enjoyment.

Sundays Sisonke – Sunday viewing on Mzansi Magic has had drastic changes to its line up to attract an even broader audience by including brand new shows like Ngikhethele, XO Goals, Mzansi’s returning favourite, Sunday Sexy Love and of course, the larger-than-life production of Shaka Ilembe

Weekdays iDrama engapheli – The highlight of Mzansi’s weekly prime time schedule is filled with a variety of fresh local shows every day of the week. This includes brand new Monday night dramedy Magaeng, reality spin off Izingane Zes’thembu and brand-new seasons of Seng’khathele,  UMnakwethu:Happily, Ever After to name a few.

Our popular and most talked about telenovelas continue to bolster the early and late prime time slots with hit-telenovelas such as Gomora’s season finale, Gqeberha: The Empire and uMkhokha: The Curse.

“This campaign is all about zooming in and celebrating all the drama that we are offering our Mzansi Magic viewers,” says Shirley Adonisi, Director of Local Entertainment Channels for M-Net.

“There are so many challenges that we are all facing at any given time, but with our content offering we know viewers can all take a break to let our hair down, breathe easier and be entertained because of the variety of programming on our channel. All recently launched content is what we believe resonates with our audiences and speaks conversations that are on par with some of their life experiences and encourages co-viewing” she says.

As part of the S’thanda iDrama campaign, the shows are available on DStv Catch Up and on Switch’d On (DStv channel 109) to ensure no one misses the drama and that DStv subscribers continue watching the upcoming episodes until the end of the season.

Remember to tune in to your favourite telenovelas: Gomora Season Finale at 19:30, Umkhokha at 20:30, Gqeberha:The Empire at 21:00.
